WHY CYDECTIN IS
TOUGHER ON TICKS
®
Works 18 times faster for rapid tick control1
Cydectin Injection reaches peak blood level 18 times faster than Dectomax* injection
Peak blood levels are when the highest concentration of
a drug becomes available in the blood. Cydectin Injection
reaches peak blood levels in a fraction of the time it takes
Dectomax injection.
CYDECTIN 8 hrs
DECTOMAX 144 hrs
Lasts 5 days longer for ongoing protection1
Cydectin Injection stays in the blood and tissues on average for 5 days longer than
Dectomax injection

8.3 times more potent for a powerful tick kill2
Cydectin Injection is 8.3 times more potent
than Dectomax injection2
Tests have shown that you need 8.3 times more
Dectomax than Cydectin to kill 99.9% of ticks with the
same concentration of active.
That means with Cydectin you get a more powerful
chemical for control of ticks.

28 days shorter WHP for more flexibility
With a WHP 28 days shorter than Dectomax injection and an ESI 14 days shorter, you
have more flexibility with your treatment option with Cydectin Injection.

Increased weight gain in weaners with Cydectin
The trial results showed the difference highly potent
and persistent products can offer over others in
practical situations.
1. C
ydectin Injection generated an additional 3.8kg
increase over Dectomax Injection during the 120
day trial period.
2. Treatment with Cydectin Long Acting Injection for
Cattle (LA) generated an additional 10.1kg (42%)
increase in weight gain over Dectomax Injection.
Weight Gain Following Treatment
Jim Viner, Gympie, QLD.
Running a Brahman cross herd in SE QLD
comes with its challenges – particularly cattle
tick. So to take a fresh look at the options
available for his weaner steer operation,
Jim recently conducted a trial to compare
treatment options.
Cydectin Long Acting Injection for Cattle,
Cydectin Injection and Dectomax Injection
were compared on 9 month old cross bred
female weaners with an average starting
weight of 217kg.
