Head of Promotional planning and POS delivery - Mecca Job Description Job Purpose Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities Knowledge, Expertise and To work with operations, product teams and marketing to design and deliver effective promotional plans and in-club communication that will drive frequency and incremental revenue, in line with the customer segmentation and club segmentation agreed. Develop and deliver in-club POS that is compelling to customers on time and to budget. To work effectively with the retail team and product heads to shape and deliver a promotional plan that meets customer, commercial and operational objectives at a national and local level To deliver in line with the agreed customer and club segmentation To work work with the brand team to develop and deliver effective in-club communications on time and to budget. Develop a test and learn programme in line with operations and product heads to ensure continual innovation on promotions and in-club comms Work with finance, insight and data science to ensure targeting is optimized at customer and club level, where possible. Deliver ROI reporting on promotions, using finance and data science expertise to ensure continual learning. Utilise insights to understand customer behavior and then develop plans and actions which positively impact club performance Management of national and local promotional and comms budget with agreed over and under spends flagged Develop and deliver test and learn promotional and in-club comms plans in line with the marketing strategy. Own and lead the promotional planning process with ops and product heads, chairing the monthly forum and influencing to gain agreement on the appropriate plan Build effective working relationships with operations, product and finance Develop and manage a team of 3 marketing managers and exec. Manage the appropriate agency relationships ensuring efficient and effective delivery and ongoing development of our offer. E.g print agency, local marketing agencies as required. Work with the Marketing Director to continually develop the marketing function. Qualifications (relating to specialist knowledge and expertise required to undertake the role) Problem solving skills with a strong commercial approach and customer centric thinking Proven track record in multi-site retail marketing Effective communication skills with the ability to build relationships quickly and influence colleagues Strong analytical skills Budget management Ability to deliver at pace, on budget and with accuracy with a good attention to detail Personal Qualities Ability to energise people through integrity, knowledge and delivery Resilient and effective under pressure Driving Licence Able to travel within the Mecca estate. This will involve some overnight stays.
