INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY SCHOOL WEEKLY LESSON PLAN Week (Date): 12 (15-11--2015 – 19-11-2015) 2015-2016 Teacher: Muhammad Usman Farooq Subject: Biology Grade: A2 Topic 6: Infection, immunity and forensics 6.2 Microorganisms and Diseases Day Lesson Objectives & Details (WALTs) in Chronological Sequence Students will be able to: Distinguish between the roles of B cells (including B memory and B effector cells) and T cells (T helper, T killer and T memory cells) in the body’s immune response. 1 & 2 3 Instructional Strategies Setting the stage: Students will be asked question to brainstorm and link the previous knowledge to the current topic. Focusing event: Students will be explained about the types of specific immune responses. Students will be shown tutorials to describe the mechanisms of humoral and cell mediated responses. They will also be explained about the active and passive immunity. Closure: Students will develop a concept map to show how immune system works. Immunity Tutorials Students will sketch the steps of action of T and B Lymphocytes. E3R.R: Students will work on the types of immunity and the peer group checking will help to evaluate and grade the group work. --------------------Students will be able to: 4 Learning Activities Practice for the solution of Exam Paper by solving the Quiz number 4.
