A musical ensemble is a group of two or more musicians who perform instrumental or vocal music. In each musical style different norms have developed for the sizes and composition of different ensembles, and for the repertoire of songs or musical works that these ensembles perform. A successful musical ensemble consists of a group of people who are very dedicated to what they do. They always have to be in the moment and constantly feeding of each other and provide a good source of energy to anyone on stage. choir A choir (also known as a choral or chorus) is a musical ensemble of singers. choral music, in term, is the music written specifically for such an ensemble to perform. A body of singers who perform together as a group is called a choir or chorus. The former term is very often applied to groups affiliated with a church (whether or not they actually occupy the choir) and the second to groups that perform in theatres or concert halls. The term "Choir" has the secondary definition of a subset of an ensemble; thus one speaks of the "woodwind choir" of an orchestra, or different "choirs" of voices and/or instruments in a polychoral composition. A choir is a very common ensemble as it is used in most of every day life such as people who have school and who take on music into college/university. As growing up choir is used to interact ad make new friends and gives a opportunity to work as a group. acapella Acapella music is specifically a group or solo singing without instrumental accompaniment, or a piece intended to be performed in this way. It contrasts with cantata, which is accompanied singing. Acapella was originally indented to differentiate between renaissance polyphony and baroque concertato style. These days, many a cappella groups can be found in high schools and colleges. There are amateur barbershop harmony society and professional groups that sing acapella exclusively. Although acapella is technically defined as singing without instrument accompaniment, some groups use their voices to emulate instruments; others are more traditional and focus on harmonizing. Acapella styles range from gospel music to contemporary to barbershop quartets and choruses.
