Either yourself, the owner of the property, your authorized agent or your licensed building contractor, must complete and submit the building permit application along with accompanying structural drawings with specific details of the proposed work for review for code compliance. This review is usually completed within 24 to 48 hours depending on the complexity of the proposed work. After the initial review of the proposed work is completed, the property owner or the licensed contractor will be contacted by our permit technician to schedule an appointment with the plans examiner, if necessary, to go over the details of the planned construction, to be informed of additional requirements or to be informed of the permit fees.
