Mark J. Mannis, M.D. Clinical/Research Interests Dr. Mannis, Professor and Chair of the UC Davis Eye Center, specializes in corneal transplantation and external diseases of the eye. His research has included development of antimicrobial agents and growth factors that affect the corneal wound healing, skin diseases that affect the eye, visual rehabilitation after corneal transplantation and the artificial cornea. Dr. Mannis has authored over 130 publications and six books on topics relating to corneal surgery and disease.
