Position Title: Marketing Communications Specialist

Job Description Summary
The Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting Performance Services’ company
initiatives within the Sales and Marketing Department with a focus on proposals and event design,
promotion and project management. Attention to detail and accuracy is essential to the role. This
person may also be assigned market research tasks.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Support the request for qualifications and proposal process with effective planning, accuracy, writing
and timely assembly of proposals, both in print and electronic format.
2. Assist with event and sponsorship design, promotion and administration activities and tasks that
include communication with managers, business development managers, and event vendors. This may
include local travel to events to set up trade show displays or coordinate entertainment arrangements.
3. Assist with creative concepts for event invitation designs, including presentation design using Adobe
Creative Suite InDesign and Photoshop. Administer events using email marketing and digital event
management programs.
4. Sales support tasks; including Salesforce administration and any research and reporting projects as
assigned.
Minimum Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in strategic communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
2. Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including business writing skills.
3. Demonstrated customer service skills with a strong desire to support team members in the fast-paced
sales and marketing environment.
4. Ability to create strong digital media content using Performance Services’ tonality and attributes.
5. Intermediate to advanced visual design capability using Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign and
Photoshop.

6. Demonstrated intermediate word processing experience using MS Office, including Word, Excel and
PowerPoint.
6. Proficient in web-based application administration, including survey tools, email marketing and digital
events administration.

Normal Working Hours
Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily with flexibility in the daily work
schedule as agreed. Forty hours per week required, with additional hours required in the evenings or
weekends depending on proposal deadlines or other marketing events.
Physical Requirements
Position is primarily sedentary in nature with relatively equal amounts of sitting, standing and walking.
Infrequent, light physical effort may be required.
