Baroque paintings
• Baroque art is characterized by great drama, rich, deep color, and
intense light and dark shadows
• Portraits are intentionally dramatic, pompous and outrageous
• Baroque artists chose the most dramatic point, the moment when
the action was occurring
• This art evoked passions and emotions
• Caravaggio,Rembrant,Rubens, Diego Velázquez, Poussin and
Vermeer

• He was Italian baroque painter, one of the most
important figures of world painting
• Young Caravaggio started to teach as a painter in
the workshop of artist Simone Peterzana
• In 1591,he traveled to Rome and started to work in
a few workshops
• He was a brilliant rebel,he invented his own way of
painting
• His life was full of conflicts with law, battles and he
had to run away very often.He run away to
Genoa,Malta,Sicily and Tuscany
• Died 7.18 1610 on fever

Antonio Lucio Vivaldi

• Vivaldi was an Italian priest and baroque music
composer and violin virtuoso
• He was called ,,Prete Rosso“ (Red priest) because
of the color of his hair
• He worked as a teacher of violin, of cello and led
the girls' orchestra
• In 1717 he received the title of maestro di Cappella
and composed in the service of austrian
prince.In this times he created his masterpieceFour seasons
• Vivaldi composed 500 instrumental concerts,50
operas,86 sonatas and a lot of symphonies,
masses, anthems and songs
• He died very poor and he was buried on hospital
cemetery in Wienna
William Shakespeare
(baptised 26.4.1564-died 23.4.1616)
William Shakespeare
Was English poet and
playwright.He is often called
Englands national poet and the
Bard of Avon. His plays have been
translated into every major living
language. Shakespeare was born
and brought up in Stratfordupon-avon. At the age of 18, he
married Anne Hathaway with
whom he had three children:
Susanna and twins Hamnet and
Judith. Between 1585 and 1592,
he began a successful career in
London as an actor and writer.

Baroque in architecture
• Characteristic features of the style were mainly rich decoration, from
gold to marble.
• In baroque style were built temples and monasteries , later were built
secular buildings like palaces , castles and mantiones.
• Building windows and portals were beautiful decorated and they‘ve got
irregular form.
Baroque in architecture
• These buildings were lighter than before , where the light was one of the
ways to increase drama .
• Walls , ceilings and domes covered with paintings depicting figures or
mythological characters and giving rise to almost infinitely high ceilings.
• The material used for construction of buildings particularly bricks and
mortar. The walls were plastered with a thick layerof mortar , without
distinction of building materials from which they were built.
