Just like in the game of tic-tac-toe, you have to choose three boxes in a row, either vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. Color each box in after you’ve completed the activity on a white lined piece of paper. Make sure to staple this paper to your work! Your homework is due no later than this Thursday! Parts of Speech: Tell what part of speech each of your spelling words are. Ex. Throw: verb; table: noun; green: adjective Rainbow Words: Short Story: Write your spelling words in Write a short story pencil. Trace over each including at least 6 spelling word at least 3 times using a words. Underline each different colored pencil or spelling word with a colored crayon each time you trace. pencil, crayon, or pen. Rhyming Words: Choose 6 spelling words. Write down as many words as you can that rhyme with your spelling words. YOU MUST FIND AT LEAST 3! Ex. “me”-ski, free, tea Sentences: Write eight sentences. Batch: at, cat, hat, bat Ransom Words: Look through magazines and newspapers to find the letters that make up 5 of your spelling words. Glue them together to make your spelling words. Read & Write: Read each word out loud, as you write each spelling word three times. (In cursive if you have your license) Dictionary: Choose five spelling words to look up in the dictionary and write down their definitions.
