After a successful surgery with two titanium rods and eight screws in my spine, I was on strong pain killers like Morphine, Oxycontin, Percocet and Tylenol 4. Sleeping pills and many other inflammation reducing medications. The truth is that none of these reduced the pain or the inflammations. All they did numbed my head and I felt comatose most of the time. It was a living hell for years living with that chronic pain. I started to take 3 to 5 packages of Soul every day. Mere generalized statements “like eat everything in moderation” without sharp, specific conclusions are meaningless. “Common Knowledge” that a healthful diet consists of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and a minimum of red meat and saturated fat – to staying lean and healthy has been scientifically shown to be wrong numerous times in the world’s leading medical journals. Their recommendations, while they sound good, are not based on medical science. Excessive sugar consumption from fruit juices and excessive starchy carbohydrates from vegetables, grains and legumes are all NOT GOOD FOR YOU. Tragically, it is still doesn’t change society’s or most physicians’ mistaken opinions, so they keep recommending what doesn’t work! It took over a generation (thirty years) for the concept of making protein the foundation of your diet, complemented by natural dietary fats (EFAs) and only limited quantities of carbohydrates, to be recognized as truly healthful rather than the path to self-destruction. The only one who have the luxury of being wrong for decades are those in the medical and nutritional fields, because their mistakes take decades to manifest. This is because the human body is such incredibly well made machine. How come that we are exercising more than ever, spending more money on supplements, eating more consciously and still be more overweight and sicker than ever before? Don’t be fooled by those telling you that we are all overweight and ill because of plentiful food. If you follow their pseudo-scientific silliness (statements and recommendations may sound scientific but aren’t based on science), you will be on the path to self-destruction. Nutritionists and physicians have overlooked our physiology when crafting their recommendations and have contributed to our obesity and health epidemic. Like other ill-conceived recommendations to drink 8 ounces of water 8 times each day was reversed years ago but never reported by the popular health and nutrition media. Force-feeding yourself water when not thirsty is one of the worst things you can do, if your want stay lean and healthy for life. You will unknowingly dilute blood chemistry and lower insulin levels, including (artificial) hunger too. The thirst mechanism is one of the most powerful and sensitive of all body’s regulatory process and mere 1% decrease in body water content activates thirst. There is no scientific evidence to back up this daily 64 ounces of water drinking advice, which has helped create a huge market of bottled water since 2002. SALT OR LOW SODIUM Low salt diets increase the risk of death from heart attacks and strokes and do not prevent high blood pressure… Investigators found that the less salt people ate, the more likely they were to die of heart disease… Those who ate the least salt were most likely to die… Increase insulin resistance, which can increase the risk of heart disease… Restricting salts puts geriatric patients on the road to digestive issues. The medical fact is that even if you overload on salt, the body’s automatic equilibrium system counteract it by “atrial naturietic factor” (ANF) triggering the kidneys to “dump” sodium. Salt is the #1 extracellular nutrient. Stomach acid requires chloride from the salt. Salt restriction is a root cause of digestive issues.
