Soft-Starter
The ECW500 has a soft-start function for the MTVC and
MECC operating modes, which are the offline modes. This
function gradually increases the reference of the operating
mode up to the end value set. With the available parameters,
it is possible to set the start level of the ramp (in terms of
percentage of the end value) and the time it will take the
reference to reach the end value.
Special Functions
JJ Self-calibration of the measurement of the exciting current
JJ Self-calibration of the analog inputs
JJ Generation of events, warnings and errors
JJ Loading of the parameters with the factory settings
Operating Interface
HMI with graphic display and navigation menu
JJ Start/Stop and Alarm Reset keys (which can be enabled
or disabled)
JJ Password for data protection
JJ Option of remote HMI on panel door

Notes: 1) For VExc_Nom=32 V dc, the recommended supply voltage would be 55 V ac. Supply voltages much higher than those values may worsen the dynamic response.
2) The auxiliary DC input for power supply allows a machine without enough remanent voltage to be controlled when the supply comes from the machine
terminals. The source must be galvanically isolated from the power supply.
3) The supplies of the electronics are redundant and require an isolation transformer on the AC input if they have the same source.
