Parallelograms
A parallelogram is a quadrilateral
with both pairs of opposite sides
parallel.
To name the parallelogram to the
right, we use the notation

In a parallelogram, opposite sides are
congruent
Theorem 6.3
In a parallelogram, opposite angles are
congruent

In a parallelogram, consecutive angles
are supplementary.
