Job Description Sales & Marketing Coordinator Position Title: Sales & Marketing Coordinator Department: Sales & Marketing Reports To: Director of Sales & Marketing Location: Louisiana Health Cooperative, Inc. Pay Grade: Exempt FLSA Status: Date Written/Revised: June 2014 General Summary: Provide internal sales and marketing as well as external producer support in the Sales and Marketing Department. Works with all sales and marketing personnel as well as producers to facilitate all aspects of the producer appointment and sales process. Provides internal support and coordinates communication between field representatives and healthplan departments/personnel. To deliver on the LAHC mission, the Sales & Marketing Coordinator will: Responsibilities: Maintains all records and processes information on Vertafore platform. Processes new producer appointments and all active producer renewals in and with Vertafore and with the DOI. Collects and maintains proper records and information on all producer applications for appointments and renewals. Maintains all information and updates in Producer Manager, assigns producer numbers (NPN) and communicates same to producers and other departments/vendors as necessary. Maintains appropriate communications with producers including but not limited to acceptance or denial of appointments, commission questions and information, member and group quote submission, product information, and any interdepartmental communications regarding same. Maintains producer data base to facilitate on line individual and mass communications. Assigns newly appointed agents to Account and Broker Managers as appropriate per assigned territory. Assist with production of PowerPoint presentations as needed for training, etc. Assists with training of producers as needed on quoting platform as well as products and services offered by LAHC. Coordinates RFP and RFI information requests between all appropriate departments and assist with response assembly. Assists with focus groups, research and community meetings and educates community agencies. Tracks member retention program to ensure maintenance of current enrollment Research and identify influencers within the state Phone calls on non-membership issues Sales & Marketing Coordinator Job Description, page 1 of 2 Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing on producer needs and support Prepare for resource fairs and other events by organizing brochures, flyers, and giveaways. Participates in Sales and Marketing strategy sessions Assist staff for larger community events Other duties as assigned. SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: RFP and RFI for health plans response experience Minimum of 5 years of health plan sales and marketing support experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office suit applications including but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email, etc. High level understanding of all aspects of managed health care Planning and strong analytical skills required Excellent verbal and written communications skills required Strong interpersonal skills required Ability to think critically and independently Experience: Managed health care experience with 4 or more years of progressive experience in the marketing and sales area Education: Software Requirements: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Machinery/Tools/Equipment Requirements: Must have the ability to use mobile devices, computer, fax, scanner, phone and copy machine. Physical Requirements: 1. Light Work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. May involve sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. 2. Sitting or standing, bending, stooping, and the ability to carry items weighing up to 20 pounds. 3. Constant adequate range of motion and mobility required. 4. Typical ability to collect and analyze numerical and written data and verbal information to reach logical conclusions and ability to determine the time, place and sequence of operations or actions required. 5. Regular talking and the ability to express and exchange ideas by means of language expected. 6. Constant ability to read, record or type data quickly and accurately required.
