While much innovative thinking is being done in Europe on the role of public banks, financing instruments and financial regulation in shifting capital from high- to lowcarbon investments, significant work is also being done in developing countries. These countries can demonstrate and provide real-life evidence of the systematic implementation of political, technological, policy and social innovations that are required for delivering low-carbon and resilient investment and transformation. E3G’s work on finance has a dual focus on Europe and progressive developing countries.
