RESEARCH:
Take your own notes on each section. You can use library books, a
handout/package from your teacher, or the internet. Good sites are:
classicsforkids.com, dsokids.com and www.nyphilkids.org. You must try to
answer every question, although some questions in #3 may not be applicable
or be hard to find. You may add extra information if you choose.
WRITING:
After you have completed your research, you will take your notes and write a
rough draft for the 2 sections marked “paragraph”(Family Facts and Other
Facts), organizing your notes into proper paragraphs, with a topic sentence
and supporting details. For the other 2 sections (Musical
Information/Accomplishments, World History), you may present your
information in note form and do not need to write a rough draft. Instead,
number your notes in the order you will write them on your good copy.
It is preferable that your information is printed out on a computer,
rather than hand-written.
PRESENTING:
Your final presentation should include:
- Title
- 5 separate sections – 2 will be paragraph form.
- At least 2 pictures – portrait, instrument, example of music, etc.
You will prepare each section on paper, and then later glue it onto the poster
board, and decorate your poster board.
