He has worked on several productions at Virginia Tech, notably Clybourne Park and Oshidori. He is a seasonal technician at Busch Gardens Williamsburg and has worked on such notable shows as All for One, London Rocks, and the award winning Irish Dance show Celtic Fyre. He would like to thank his mom, Joe Court, and George Jung. Dylan Bomgardner (Lighting Designer) is a second year graduate student in lighting design from Schaefferstown, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, in 2015 with a B.A. in digital media, photography, and a minor in theatre. Dylan has served as master electrician at a variety of venues. Some include Eastern Mennonite University and Walnut Hill School of the Arts. He also freelances with IATSE Local 98, out of Hershey, Pennsylvania, as a concert and event stagehand. While at Virginia Tech he has designed Clybourne Park, Setnet, A Chip on Her Shoulder, and Melancholy Play. Stefnie Cerny (Charge Scenic Painter) is a junior studio art and theatre design major interested in properties and scenic artistry. Stefnie worked as a scenic artist for academic productions such as Boeing Boeing, Clybourne Park, and Mr. Marmalade, and as the charge artist for The Divine: A Play for Sarah Bernhardt. She was the charge artist for Shawnee Summer Theatre’s 2016 season in Bloomfield, Indiana, and set designed Virginia Tech’s 2016 TEDx event at the Moss Art Center. Stefnie would like to thank her professors, fellow artists, and mother for their undying support. Lauren E. Chilton (Props Designer) is a second year graduate student in the properties design M.F.A. program. Past credits at Virginia Tech include The Divine: A Play for Sarah Bernhardt, Setnet, A Chip on Her Shoulder, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, and The Trojan Women. Previously, she has worked as a freelance prop master in the DCMetro area with theatres such as Folger Theatre, Imagination Stage, Synetic Theater, The Welders, Constellation Stage, and Forum Theatre, and recently worked as a props artisan for the Colorado Shakespeare Festival. Maddy Cook (Assistant Stage Manager) is a first year student double majoring in theatre and international studies with a minor in French. This is her second college production and first time being an Assistant Stage Manager. She is looking forward to branching out into studying other areas of theatre outside of her performance focus. Biographies Joe Court (Sound Designer) is excited to join the faculty at Virginia Tech. For the last 10 years he was a freelance artist based in Chicago. His work has been heard in Chicago (Mary-Arrchie, A Red Orchid, The Hypocrites, Emerald City, and many, many more), New York (59E59, Off-Broadway), Los Angeles (REDCAT at The Disney Concert Hall), The Clarence Brown Theatre (Knoxville), Great Lakes Theatre (Cleveland), Virginia Stage Company (Norfolk), and the Idaho, Lake Tahoe, and Illinois Shakespeare Festivals. He has taught at Ball State University (Muncie, IN) and the University of Chicago. Joe has received two Joseph Jefferson Award nominations and a Broadwayworld.com nomination for his work. Member of USA 829. Taylor Durham (Assistant Stage Manager) is a freshman pursuing dual degrees in theatre, with a performance focus, and multimedia journalism. Previous acting credits include Mary Jane Wilkes in Big River, Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible, and Josephone Bloom in Big Fish. She would like to thank the cast, crew, and production team, as well as her friends and family, for their continual love and support. Kenzy Forman (Shelly Levene) is a senior theatre major. At Virginia Tech, she appeared in The Divine: A Play for Sarah Bernhardt, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Hello, Opera!, OPERAcraft, and Spring Awakening:The Musical. She was on production teams in various positions including assistant to the director and stage manager at Virginia Tech, in DC, and in NYC. She thanks her Hokie friends, family, and mentors for their unending support and love throughout her journey. Maggie Gough (James Lingk) is a senior double majoring in theatre and multimedia journalism. She was last seen as Madeleine in The Divine: A Play for Sarah Bernhardt, Betsy/Lindsey in Clybourne Park, and Gretchen in Boeing Boeing. This will be her final production here and she couldn’t be more grateful for all the love and joy that Virginia Tech theatre has brought her. She would like to thank her family for making the trip down for every show these past four years. Jessica Jordan (Baylen) is a sophomore theatre major and is thrilled to be suiting up for this production. She was previously seen onstage in Mr. Marmalade as Sookie, and in A Chip on Her Shoulder. She could not be more excited to be a part of this production and would like to thank Bob for this unique opportunity. She would also like to thank her family and friends for always supporting her and putting up with her constant puns. Matt McDonough (Assistant to the Director) is a sophomore studying theatre and political science. He would like to thank Bob McGrath for his mentorship and this opportunity. He would also like to thank his parental units, Kanye West, and himself for their continued support. Biographies Bob McGrath (Director) is Co-Founder and Director of Ridge Theater. He has directed theater, opera, and ballet at venues including BAM, LA Opera, Lincoln Center, American Repertory Theater, Carnegie Hall, BRIC, Kimmel Center-Verizon Hall with The Philadelphia Orchestra, Krannert Center, Vineyard Theater, Arts at St. Ann’s, La MaMa E.T.C., and The Kitchen. His direction abroad includes Queen Elizabeth Hall (London), Cite de la Musique (Paris), Muziekebow (Amsterdam), Oi Casa Grande Theater (Rio de Janeiro), and De Singel (Antwerp). Bob has collaborated with composers, writers, and conductors including John Adams, Gavin Bryars, Mark Dion, Ben Katchor, Philip Glass, Michael Gordon, Neil LaBute, David Lang, Warren Leight, Mark Mulcahy,Yannick Nezet-Seguin, Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR), Susan Sontag, Robert Spano, DJ Spooky, Mac Wellman, and Julia Wolfe. He is currently an Associate Professor at Virginia Tech, and has taught at UC Davis, Sarah Lawrence College, and NYU. He has been awarded three OBIE awards for Direction, Best Production, and Sustained Achievement. Molly McIntyre (Ricky Roma) is a junior hospitality and tourism management and theatre performance double major. This is her fourth production at Virginia Tech, with her past roles consisting of Lucy in Mr. Marmalade, Hecuba in The Trojan Women, and Mother in Flowers for Algernon. She would like to thank her family for their endless support as well as her director, Bob McGrath, for the opportunity to channel her inner man. Katie Nguyen (Stage Manager) is a senior business management major and theatre minor. This is her tenth and final production on the stage management team at Virginia Tech. Notable credits include Clybourne Park, A Chip On Her Shoulder, Fool For Love, and Spring Awakening: The Musical. Thanks to Dan, Amy, Joe, Dani, and Captain Kate for their mentorship. Connor Perkins (Master Electrician) is a senior from Leesburg, Virginia. He is currently pursuing a degree in theater design and technology with a focus in electrics and technical direction. His previous roles include Master Electrician for Clybourne Park, Assistant Technical Director for Mr. Marmalade, and Assistant Lighting Designer for Setnet. Gabrielle Piazza (Marketing Coordinator) is a first-year M.F.A. candidate from Vassar, Michigan, studying arts leadership. She holds a B.A. in musical theatre and mathematics from Adrian College and has worked with Purple Rose Theatre Company in Chelsea, Michigan. Gabrielle also spent three years touring with The Young Americans, an international music outreach organization, visiting thirteen countries as a teacher, performer, and most recently, company manager. Biographies Naire Poole (Dave Moss) is a (performance) theatre major who has recently performed in Oh, the Humanity and Other Good Intentions, Clybourne Park, and the devised piece A Chip on Her Shoulder 2.0. She has worked as an actor, costume collaborator, and director, and is grateful for the skills she has been introduced to over the span of her time at Old Dominion University and Virginia Tech. She would like to deeply thank her family, friends, professors, cast, and production team for all of their guidance and support. #SALU Mary V. Rathell (Costume Designer) is thrilled to be working on this production of Glengarry Glen Ross! Mary is a second year M.F.A. candidate in costume design and technology from Bethesda, Maryland. During her time at Virginia Tech, Mary has designed costumes for Melancholy Play, Clybourne Park, A Chip on Her Shoulder 2.0, and Boeing Boeing. She would like to thank her friends and family for all their love and support. Anna Ross (George Aaronow) is a senior double majoring in industrial and systems engineering and theatre. She has previously been seen as Mrs. Talbot in The Divine: A Play for Sarah Bernhardt, Frances in Melancholy Play, Peter Quince in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and is currently serving as director for Deep Fried Improv Comedy Group. Many thanks to Bob for this opportunity, Mom, Dad, Emily, and Sarah for love and support, and ‘Yonce fam for good times and many laughs. Rhi Sanders (Scenic Designer) is a junior theatre major with a focus in scenic design. She has previously worked on shows such as Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, The 25th Annual Putnam Country Spelling Bee, and Clybourne Park. Outside of the School of Performing Arts, she has worked as an intern at Contemporary American Theater Festival and as production crew at the Moss Arts Center. She would like to thank the cast and crew for their hard work and Randy Ward for his amazing guidance through this project. Natasha Staley (Vocal Coach) is an Assistant Professor of Voice and Acting in the School of Performing Arts at Virginia Tech. She is an Associate Teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework® specializing in voice, speech, dialects, and text. This past summer she served as Voice and Text coach on Hamlet and As You Like It at the New Swan Shakespeare Festival in Irvine, CA. Recent work at Virginia Tech includes The Divine: A Play for Sarah Bernhardt (Vocal Coach), The Trojan Women (Dialect Coach), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Director), and playing the role of Cassandra in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Kirstin Wolf (John Williamson) is a sophomore theatre major at Virginia Tech and is thrilled to be a part of her third mainstage production. She would like to thank her friends and family for being incredible and supportive, Bob McGrath for giving her the chance to explore the world of David Mamet, and her character for reminding her that sometimes you just need to go to lunch.
