_________________________________ After gathering the above information, you will need to create a visual aid (poster board, powerpoint, or some other creative visual aid) that includes the following: 1. Composer photo 2. Childhood photo
of composer (or family photo) 3. Instrument photo
(find a photo of an instrument he/she played) 4. Education photo
(find photos of schools where he/she attended) 5. Music photo
(try to find a photo of a musical score by this composer, or front cover of a score) 6. Extra photos
(these could be any other interesting photos you find when researching this composer. Secondly, you will need to create an aural (listening) presentation that includes 3 compositions by this composer. This can be done a number of ways: 1. Download recordings of their music and burn a CD or put it on your iPod and bring your iPod into class for your presentation. 2. Attach a link to the online recordings of their music into your powerpoint presentation. You will need 3 links for the 3 different compositions. I can help you with this if you ask. 3. Provide me with the exact youtube url’s (web addresses) for the video you would like the class to see for each of your 3 selections. Next, you will write a two paragraph summary and reflection (in your own words) of what you learned about this composer. DO NOT use copied sentences from your research sheet or from online sources. Using sentences copied directly from the internet or other sources is plagiarism. These two paragraphs must be in your words. Finally, you will give a class presentation about your composer using your visual aid and aural examples. Presentations should be well prepared and not simply read word for word from your poster board, powerpoint, or information sheet. DUE DATE IS: TUESDAY FEBRUARY 24, 2015
