Q-Tran, Inc. 155 Hill Street Milford, CT 06460 P: (203) 367-8777 F: (203) 367-8771 www.q-tran.com Q-SET® FEATURES IN - OUT - UP - DN Versatile cassette design featuring interchangeable modules for both interior, exterior, and mounting above or in ground. Universal listing standard for all Q-SET’s. three listings: Landscape Lighting, Pool & Spa and Low Voltage Luminaire Power Supply (for both indoor and outdoor) lighting. Q-SET is required as the model number indicates the total lamp load. BUILT TO LAST All terminal blocks are rated for 50 amps and made of nickel plated 70/30 brass with 2 - 316L Stainless Steel set screws. This large terminal block allows for a one inch strip to assure a positive connection. The capacity of each block is: Q-SET Wire Gauge 14 12 10 8 • • • 1 7 5 4 2 2 7 5 4 2 3 14 10 8 4 NOTE: Chart shows the number of wires under each terminal block. The secondary features (5) output voltages available at all times. There is no limitation on the amperage allowed from each output; the full amperage of the Q-SET can come from one output. can be extended during installation to elevate the Q-SET during wiring to better access the terminal blocks to assure proper connections. A handle is incorporated into the Q-SET to facilitate carrying and installation or removal of the QSET from a housing. SAFETY X3 • • • All 120V units have a hydraulic, magnetic, push/pull circuit breaker with a custom, watertight, bellows boot to allow switching the primary on/off. The toroidal transformer has an internal, auto-reset thermal breaker to disconnect the primary if there is an overload or improper dimmer. Each Q-SET has 1, 2 or 3 secondary hydraulic, magnetic, push/pull circuit breakers with a custom, watertight, bellows boot to allow switching the secondary on/off. Separate Primary junction box for added safety. The JB cover has a strip length guide for the wiring and a locking device to hold the terminal block hex key. There are two ½” openings for extra boost tap on the Primary to offset voltage drop on long primary runs or when connected to a dimmer.
