Species potentially detected by the AATAMS receivers
One of AATAMS’ difficulty was to design arrays/curtains for generic projects without
having specific targeted study species. Consequently, scientific committee members often
enquired about which species would be detected by AATAMS proposed arrays and
curtains. The following present information on current and future projects that have tagged
or will tag organisms expected to be detected by AATAMS’ receivers. I hope that this will
help committee members to discuss current and future AATAMS deployments taking into
considerations the organisms likely to be detected. This is also aimed at the community to
inform them that AATAMS receivers might detect their study species and to ensure that
AATAMS is aware of which species might be detected by AATAMS receivers.
If you know of projects, not mentioned here, with tagged organisms that could be detected
by the AATAMS deployments, please contact me ([email protected]).
