All rights reserved. 9 Rear Panel Features RS-232 Communications Port Network Transient Protector Provides unattended shutdown and remote UPS monitoring capability when used with included power management software and communication cable. Isolates your modem, fax machine, telephone and other communications equipment from "back door" power surges. USB Communications Port The UPS can communicate with a USB-compliant computer when used with included LanSafe power management software. Load Segments Load Segment 1 & 2 are sets of receptacles that can be controlled by power management software, providing an orderly shutdown and startup of your equipment IEC-320-C14 input Load Segment 1 Load Segment 2 X-Slot Communications Bay 4 UPS Protected Outlets Allows you to integrate the optional Web/SNMP Card. The Web/SNMP Card inserts into the slot on the back of your Avaya UPS, supports real-time web and SNMP communication over 10/100BaseT Ethernet connections, and serves as a power-protected switching hub to support three additional 10/100BaseT links. © 2006 Avaya Inc. All rights reserved. 11 Optional Power Distribution Unit (PDU) The new, optional PDU allows you to provide additional output receptacles. The PDU plugs into a rear output receptacle on the UPS and can be mounted virtually anywhere in a rack enclosure. The PDU can also be used independently without using a UPS.
