ACCORDING TO GOOGLE, FRANCE IS A FEW STEP
BEHIND IN THEIR DIGITIZATION
Total GDP
 In a recent study by Google with the aim to analyse the digitization level
in France, shows that France is behind in this area.
Digital
technology
5%
 The digital technology only represents 5,5 % of France’s GDP, compared
to 8% of the US’ GDP and 10% of the UK GDP.
 The digital technology’s low contribution to GDP is mainly due to low
investment in digital technology of SMEs, no large company within the
sector and also low export capacity.
 France is below the European average of 4G coverage and High Speed
Internet.
 Despite a rather negative image of the digitization in France, the study
mean that the French people is “very connected, well digitally equipped
and adopters to innovative solutions”.
