LE MONDE BUSINESS SWEDEN 3 FEBRUARY, 2017 3 FRANCE ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST ANNUAL DECREASE OF UNEMPLOYMENT SINCE 2007 Despite a rise of the unemployment in December (+0,8%), the unemployment for 2016 decreased by 3 % (107 400 persons). It is the first annual decrease after eight year of consecutive increase. It is the category ”under 25” noticing the largest decrease – with a decline of 8,8 % during 2016. The number of long-termed unemployed decreased by 2,4%. Two electric-power minibuses are now running as a test between Gare de Lyon and Gare d’Austerlitz between January until early April. The GPS-guided shuttle is able to carry up to 12 passengers (6 seated and 6 standing), is free and will be running seven days a week between the two stations. The company behind these two first self-driven electric vehicles in Paris, is the start-up Easymile based in Toulouse. This represents a growth of 11 % compared to 2015. The number of e-shops has increased by 12% in 2016, reaching an amount of 200 000 e-shops in total. In 2006, only 22 600 e-shops were present on the French e-market. The average basket is decreasing year by year and 2016 the average basket dropped from 75 euros to 70 euros. However, the decrease of worth of the average basket is compensated by a rise and a record of transactions and ebuyers. 2016, the French e-commerce counted 36 millions of e-buyers. French e-buyers shop online about 28 times per year for an amount of 2000 euros per e-buyer. Online shopping from a smart phone increased by 30 % in 2016. The future of e-commerce seems to be bright, predicting a turnover of 80 billions of euro in 2017 and over 100 billions in 2020.
