INVOLVEMENT WITH THE AMERICAS: Montenegro has formal diplomatic relations with the following OAS Member States: Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, México, Nicaragua, Panamá, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States of America, and Uruguay. Montenegro maintains embassies in Argentina and the United States of America, and Honorary Consuls in Canada, Panama, Paraguay and the United States of America. Through its membership in regional and international organizations, Montenegro seeks to enhance its role in defending and promoting democratic values. In the Americas, Montenegro endeavors to strengthen cooperation in the field of economy, security, sustainable development, eco-tourism, education, science and culture. Montenegro also priorities relations with large countries with large Montenegrin diaspora, such as Argentina, Brazil and Canada to improve economic, political and other forms of cooperation.
