Password Reset
Steps
• On the TIDE login page, select the “Forgot Your
Password?” link just below the login prompt.
• Enter the email address you use for all West Virginia
General Summative Assessment systems.
• An email (from [email protected] ) which
contains a new, temporary password will be sent to the
email address associated with the account.
• Return to the TIDE login page to enter the username
and the temporary password.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to create a new
password.
• If email has not arrived?
– User should wait 15 minutes before contacting the AIR
helpdesk

Release of Data
The West Virginia Department of Education (WVDE) will
release preliminary state-level results from the 2016 West
Virginia General Summative Assessment (WVGSA)
Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at the West Virginia Board of
Education meeting in Charleston.
• The public release of the preliminary results is
embargoed until 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2016.
Release of Data
• The WVDE will not release overall preliminary WVGSA
results for individual districts until Wednesday, August 17,
2016.
• This will give individual districts sufficient time to share
the preliminary proficiency rates with their local school
boards.
• The state will release only the overall percent of students
proficient in each content area in each district.
• At that time Individual districts may release grade-level data if
they choose, with an understanding that the preliminary
results may change once final assessment results and final
accountability results have been calculated.
