May Week 4: Greek and Latin Elements
During the fourth week of each month, students will explore Greek and Latin elements and their
combinations. Thousands of English words are derived from Greek and Latin and the nature of the
English language becomes evident in the study of these elements. An understanding of how Greek
and Latin elements work will assist students with the vocabulary they will need to acquire as they
continue their education. A list of this week’s elements is listed below.
