Department of Islamic Development, Malaysia “PROPHET SAW; BELOVED MESSENGER OF ALLAH” (25 JANUARY 2013 / 13 RABIUL AWWAL 1434H) Muslimin, May Allah’s blessings be on us, I remind you gentlemen and myself, let us strive to increase our devotion to Allah with His true measure. We implement all his commandments and we stay away from all evil. Hopefully we all have happiness not only the world but also in the hereafter. Mimbar today will discuss the khutbah entitled: PROPHET SAW; BELOVED MESSENGER OF ALLAH.” Muslimin, May Allah’s blessings be on us, On 12 Rabiul Awal each year is the celebration of the Maulidur Rasul to be one of the great days of Islam that celebrated in the country. Although the Prophet Muhammad SAW has left us, but the love of Allah remain in the minds and hearts of his people if we are a believing slave. Rasulullah SAW has brought to us the message of Allah SWT in two ways. First, deliver orders and guidance of Allah SWT through the revelation of the Qur'an; and Second, make the revelations of Allah to perfection through our actions, words and confession or the so-called 1 sunnah nabawiyah. Glory of the Prophet's character as reflected in the Quran, should be taken absolutely as exemplary and obey by humans throughout life. Allah’s decree in Surah at-Taghaabun, verse 12: Interpreted to mean: “Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, but if you turn away (from obeying, you will suffer the punishment), because the duty of Our Messenger is no more than to convey (the commandments) clearly”. Proof of assertion 'obeys the Messenger' is found in the word of Lailahaillaah and Muhammadur Rasulullah and show that Allah SWT is our God and Prophet Muhammad is our Prophet. Use of the word La is a form to admit the existence of god called Allah and deny the gods other than Him. Therefore, Muslims must unite and reject all forms or other concept of God except Allah SWT. This is absolutely authentic belief in the existence of God in Islam as well as leading to the Oneness of Allah SWT . Allah’s decree in surah al-Ikhlas verse 1-4: Interpreted to mean: “Say (O Muhammad): ?He is Allah, (the) One 2. Allah the Self-Sufficient Lord, Whom all creatures ask for all their needs 3. He begets none, nor is He begotten 4. And none is equal to Him.?.” Muslimin, May Allah’s blessings be on us, Confident and believe , one important agenda of the Prophet's mission to spread Islam is to empower the community of faith. Muslims are tied very closely together through the concept of faith, a direction that one, that one book, one leader. But on the other hand, he also was always kicked with various threats perpetrated by the enemies of Islam especially Jews to destabilize the beliefs of the Muslims. They use a variety of approaches, among them using the issue of religion as a tool to destroy the Muslims. They incite some Muslims of weak faith and lose integrity to violate the teachings of the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW. They also exploit some of the Muslim leaders who were blinded by passion for power. 2 Therefore, no surprise there among Muslims today who claim to have faith in Allah and His Messenger, but at the same time have to interpret Islam according to their desires. They are willing to do the actions according to their own desires and ultimately the acts seem awkward, weird in public. The influence of desire and the role of Satan in this life is evident when they unashamedly place their own interest, give priority to materialism even it is contradict with the Quran and Sunnah. Realize that it's time for Muslims to unite to preserve the sanctity of Islam and defend the faith of Muslims. Muslimin, May Allah’s blessings be on us, It appears once again, today the enemies of Islam try to deflect and tear down the faith of the community . They are united with each other and work with a variety of tricks and ways, including to make a claim to use the word Allah in their book. Whereas this was clearly the word Allah Lafz al-Jalalah is specific and exclusive right to the religion of Islam and a very real resolution to prevent Muslims becoming confused, uncertain, and mistaken in knowing the identity of Allah SWT. This noble Mimbar like to say based on scientific research that the word Allah is never found in the Taurat or the Bible, and they believe that God exists in Trinity concept of God the Father (Father God), God the Son (Son of God) and the Holy Spirit (Roh Kudus ), and these three elements are referred to as a god with a general call (The Lord). Therefore, the 82 National Council of Fatwa Committee Discussion for Islamic Religious Affairs Malaysia sitting on 5 - 7 May 2008 has decided that the utterance of the word of Allah is specific to Islam and Muslims and it should not be used by other non-Muslim religions. Similarly, Muslims in Indonesia also believe the word Allah is only used by Muslims. Mimbar would like to say as a Muslim who believes in Allah and His Messenger, then our responsibility to preserve the sanctity and defend the word of Allah in the best way and if there are elements of humiliation or abuse, then it should be blocked according to the legal provisions that have been enshrined in the Federal Constitution. Muslims must be firmly in charge of the identity and sanctity 3 of religion because to allow the right thing to be abused by other religions is very dangerous, because their main goal is to confuse the Muslims and say that religion is the same. Remember that all the symptoms of the collapse of this belief was actually dropping the glory and prestige of the Muslims. The worse is torment of a painful punishment in the afterlife that awaits the disbelievers. Allah’s decree in Surah al-Maidah verse 72: Interpreted to mean: “Indeed! Unbelievers are those who say: ?Allah is Al-Masih, the son of Maryam.? But Al-Masih himself said: ?O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord. Whoever ascribes divinity to other beings besides Allah, Allah will deny Paradise for him, and his abode shall be in the Fire; and there shall be no helpers for the evil-doers.?” Do not have some Muslims who only know how to talk about Islam but at the same time willing to destroy their own religion and pride. Sad because there are among Muslims today are not particularly sensitive and willing to destroy the faith and future of the community for their own sake. Imagine the consequences. Muslimin, May Allah’s blessings be on us, Be assured, it is our hands lies the responsibility and power to defend the sanctity of Islam. In this case, Muslims need a thorough appreciation of Islam. Based on the Maqasid Shari'ah then be the responsibility of all Muslims to take care of five things: religion, life, intellect, lineage and property. Mimbar wants to remind one of the important principles that must be implemented by Muslims to ensure that sovereignty of Islam is preserved is by preaching virtue and preventing evil. Allah’s decree in Surah al-Hajj verse 41: 4 Interpreted to mean: “ That is, they are those (believers) who, if We firmly establish them on earth, will attend to their prayers and pay the alms-tax, enjoin the doing of what is right and forbid the doing of what is wrong(1042). And (remember) with Allah rests the final outcome of all affairs.” Muslimin, May Allah’s blessings be on us, Ending the khutbah this week, in conjunction with the celebration of Maulidur Rasul, let us generate an increase in the appreciation and loyalty in the performance of the teachings brought by Prophet Muhammad SAW. Let us defend with all the best for the glory of the Prophet SAW of any insult, should honor the Prophet SAW in our daily actions and emulate the character, personality and the example set by the Prophet Muhammad SAW in every action. The Maulidur Rasul program is basically a part of missionary activity. It aims to teach, guide and remind Muslims to appreciate what has given by Allah SWT. One of the lessons is commemorating the struggle of the Prophet Muhammad SAW as a messenger of Allah, the most successful upholding the teachings of Allah, the last messenger, greatest figure over the centuries in this world and the Hereafter for bringing major changes to the landscape of faith throughout constituents of human life in the world. Even to this day the holy Prophet's personal still admired the enemies of Islam. Therefore, Mimbar urges all parties, let us make the sunnah of the Prophet SAW as a way of life and to refrain from acts that deviate from the actual nature of the Prophet SAW. Thus the celebration of the The Maulidur Rasul given wide coverage in the print and electronic media provide opportunities for people of various religions in the country in honor of a chosen person, understanding leadership styles, understanding the character and the political, economic and social development to go ahead and internalize. Allah’s decree in Surah Ali Imran, verse 31: 5 Interpreted to mean: “Say (O Muhammad): ?If you love Allah, follow me, Allah will love you and forgive your sins. And (remember) that Allah is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.” 6
