About Frogs By Ellen & Abbie Introduction There is around 3,900 species of frog in the world. Frogs are amphibians. What frogs eat Medium frogs eat insects such as flies, mosquitoes, moths and dragonflies. Large frogs even eat small sakes, mice, baby turtles and even eat smaller frogs. Frog species There is the blue dart, red eye tree frog, golden bell frog, American bull frog, bills frog, mossy frog, hyla tree frog, pacman frog, whistle tree frog and lots more. How far a frog can jump The South American tree frog can jump 1.2 meters, some frogs can only jump 2 inches. Irish frogs can jump up to 7 times its own length. A Frogs life cycle The frog lays eggs called frogspawn. The eggs hatch out into a tadpole. The tadpole then gets back legs. Then it gets front legs its now called a froglet. It loses its tail and becomes a fully grown frog.
