Student thoroughly demonstrates knowledge of logical reasoning through
Geometry proof formats. The Personal Proof topic is very engaging and
shows considerable thought and creativity. The point or opinion to be
proven is very clear, concise, and direct. The Two Column Proof contains
the To Prove statement, steps, and justifications that are always clear,
logical, and appropriate. The Paragraph Proof contains the To Prove, and
excellently argues sequentially through the proof with obvious use of
complete sentences and transition words. The overall Personal Proof is
very convincing, demonstrates excellent research and sources, and
demonstrates excellent logical flow.

Student demonstrates good knowledge of logical reasoning through
Geometry proof formats. The Personal Proof is engaging and shows
thought and creativity. The point or opinion to be proved is clear, concise,
and direct. The TCP contains the To Prove, steps, and justifications that
are clear, logical and appropriate. The Paragraph Proof contains the To
Prove, and argues sequentially through the proof very well with good
usage of complete sentences and transition words. The overall Personal
Proof is convincing, demonstrates good research and sources, and
demonstrates excellent logical flow.
Student demonstrates some knowledge of logical reasoning through
Geometry and proof formats. The Personal Proof is somewhat engaging,
and shows a little thought and creativity. The point or opinion to be
proved shows an attempt at clarity, logic, and directness. The TCP usually
includes its elements in a somewhat clear, logical and appropriate way.
The Paragraph Proof contains its elements and argues somewhat
sequentially and includes fairly good usage of complete sentences and
transition words. The overall Personal Proof is sometimes convincing,
demonstrates decent research and sources, and sometimes flows logically.
Student demonstrates poor knowledge of logical reasoning and Geometric
proofs. The Proof is fairly engaging and shows little thought and
creativity. The point or opinion to be proven is fairly not concise, unclear,
and indirect, however the components are included. The TCP includes
some of the elements, however, there is poor effort to be clear, logical, and
appropriate. The PP includes some of the elements, however it does not
argue very sequentially and the usage of complete sentences and transition
words is present but poorly done. The overall PP is not very convincing,
shows poor research and sources, and does not flow very logically.
The student demonstrates little to no knowledge of logical reasoning and
Geometric Proofs. The Proof is not engaging and shows almost no
thought or creativity. The point to be proven is confusing, wordy, and
unclear, or not included. The TCP and PP are missing major elements, are
not clear, logical, or appropriate, and complete sentences and transition
words are missing or incorrectly used. The overall PP is not convincing,
shows obvious signs of lack of (or is missing) research and sources, and
does not flow logically.
The student does not meet any of the criterion.
7-5
Both the Two Column and Paragraph Proof are very
neat, very clearly written, and very professionally
finished. The finished Personal Proof shows a great
deal of creativity and care. The student consistently
uses correct spelling, grammar, and Geometry
vocabulary, and includes excellent use of transition
words and complete sentences. The final draft of the
Personal Proof includes all of the required elements
(Graphics that pertain to the topic, a bibliography in
MLA format, in-text citations, Two Column Proof,
Paragraph Proof, 5-6 steps, and presentation).
The Two Column and Paragraph Proofs are fairly neat
and fairly clearly written and somewhat professionally
finished. The final draft shows some creativity and
care. The student attempts to use correct spelling,
grammar, and Geometry vocabulary, and includes
mediocre use of transition words and complete
sentences. The final draft includes most of the
required elements.
4-2
The Two Column and Paragraph Proofs are not very
neat and poorly written and arranged, and show very
little signs of being professionally finished. The
Personal Proof shows little to no creativity or care.
There are many spelling and grammar mistakes, as
well as misuse of Geometric vocabulary; use of
transitions and complete sentences is very weak. The
final draft is missing several elements.

The presentation shows excellent signs of
preparation and is obviously practiced and
prepared. The student always speaks loudly and
clearly. The student always reads at a good pace,
distinguishes between the steps, and fully
explains how the justifications prove each step.
The student always speaks confidently and
knowledgeably about their topic. The
presentation contains all the required elements
(visual aids, why they chose the topic, and
explanation of logic).
The presentation shows some signs of preparation
and is somewhat practiced and prepared. The
student sometimes speaks clearly and loudly. The
student does a mediocre job reading at a good
pace, distinguishing between the steps, and
explaining how the justifications prove each step.
The student demonstrates some confidence and
knowledge in their topic. The presentation
contains most of the required elements.
The presentation shows very little signs of
preparation and is not very practiced or prepared.
The student does not speak clearly or loudly. The
student does a poor job reading at a good pace,
distinguishing between the steps, and explaining
how the justifications prove each step. The
student demonstrates little confidence and
knowledge in their topic. The presentation is
glaringly lacking in several required elements.
The student does not meet the above criterion.
