Mr Robert Chew
Managing Director, iGlobe Partners
(Former Partner, Accenture; AHS Board Member)
Mr Robert Chew is a former partner of Accenture where he led the strategy practice in SE
Asia and the Communications, Media and High Tech industry practice in Singapore.
Since his retirement in 2007, he has remained active in the technology industry as a partner
in Stream Global (a tech angel investor and incubator), and iGlobe Partners (a Venture
Capital firm). He serves as a council member in the Information Technology Standards
Committee, where he chairs the Cloud Computing Standards Task Force.
He is currently a Board Member of Anacle, Scanadu Holdings, Streetsine, Alexandra Health
System, Integrated Health Information Systems, Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital, TOUCH
Community Services, Shared Services for Charities, National Council of Social Service, and
the Singapore Institute of Directors. He chairs the Silver Industry Standards Committee in
the Standards Council, SPRING.
He is a Fellow of the Singapore Computer Society (SCS) and was awarded SCS’s IT Leader
of the Year in 2009. For his contribution to standards development, he was awarded
SPRING’s Distinguished Partner Award in 2011. He was conferred the Public Service Medal
in 2013.

Adj A/Prof Angela Chow graduated in Medicine from the National University of Singapore.
She was trained as a Public Health specialist at the Ministry of Health Singapore. Dr Chow
had assumed various positions at the Ministry where she assisted in developing national
communicable disease surveillance strategies, influenza pandemic preparedness plans,
health services development programmes and non-communicable disease interventions.
Dr Chow is currently a Senior Consultant at the Institute of Infectious Diseases and
Epidemiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and heads the Department of Clinical
Epidemiology at the Institute. She is actively involved with the epidemiological surveillance,
prevention and control of hospital-associated infections and emerging infectious diseases
including SARS, chikungunya fever, avian and pandemic influenza, MERS and Ebola. Dr
Chow is also an Adjunct Associate Professor with the Saw Swee Hock School of Public
Health at the National University of Singapore, Adjunct Associate Professor and Lead for

Public Health and Health Services Outcome Research with Lee Kong Chian School of
Medicine, Nanyang Technological University and an Associate Programme Director of the
National Preventive Medicine Residency Programme.

Adj A/Prof Lim Poh Lian received her BA (cum laude) in Biochemistry from Harvard, MD
from Columbia, and Masters in Public Health from Tulane. She completed internal medicine
residency at Beth Israel Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and infectious diseases
fellowship at Tulane, New Orleans. Dr Lim is US Board-certified in Internal Medicine and
Infectious Diseases. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore, a Fellow of the
Faculty of Travel Medicine, Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons (Glasgow), and is
American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene and International Society of Travel
Medicine (ISTM)-certified in tropical and travel medicine.
Currently, Dr Lim is Head and Senior Consultant in the Department of Infectious Diseases,
Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), and Head of Travellers’ Health & Vaccination Clinic
(THVC). She serves as Senior Consultant in Ministry of Health (Communicable Disease
Division), chairs the National Antimicrobial Taskforce, and is active with the World Health
Organization (WHO) Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN). Her academic
appointments include being Adjunct Associate Professor, Lee Kong Chian School of
Medicine, and Adjunct Associate Professor, Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health,
National University of Singapore (NUS).
Dr Lim has a strong interest in travel and tropical medicine, emerging infection outbreaks,
care of HIV patients, and general infectious diseases. For her work during the Severe Acute
Respiratory Syndrome outbreak, she was honoured with the National Day Commendation
Medal and Courage Star awards.
In addition, Dr Lim is the Singapore site director for GeoSentinel (a joint project of the United
States Centres for Disease Control and Prevention and ISTM). She has published in various
peer-reviewed journals including New England Journal of Medicine, Clinical Infectious
Disease, Emerging Infectious Disease, HIV Medicine, Journal of Travel Medicine and PLoS
One.
Associate Professor Ong Biauw Chi

A/Prof Ong Biauw Chi graduated from the University of Singapore in 1986 and obtained her
Master of Medicine in Anaesthesia with the gold medal award in 1992 from the Yong Loo Lin
School of Medicine.
She completed her specialist training and entered the specialist roster in 1995 followed by
obtaining the Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 1997. She did her fellowship
training in Cardiac Anaesthesia, including Transesophageal Echocardiography training, in
Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital in 1995. She was the team
lead in the separation of the Nepalese Craniopagus twins (2001) and the Iranian
Craniopagus twins (2003).
A/Prof Ong is a member of the Anaesthesia Specialist Training Committee and is the Chair
of the Examination committee overseeing the Master of Medicine Examinations in
Anaesthesia. She was also the past Director of Clinical Governance and Patient Safety at
Singapore General Hospital. She is actively involved in the Joint Commission International
process and organizes and promotes quality improvement, safety and peer review in the
hospital. She has held several National Medical Research council grants and various other
research grants and keenly supports and promotes research activities.
Ms Sharon Salmon
Assistant Director of Nursing, National University Hospital
Ms Sharon Salmon is the Assistant Director of Nursing at the National University Hospital,
Singapore. Her portfolio includes Infection Prevention, Occupational Health and HIV. Sharon
holds a Master of Public Health and is currently a PhD candidate with the University of New
South Wales, School of Medicine.
She has spent the past decade living and working abroad, spending over 5 years in Vietnam
where she worked with the World Health Organization working closely with the Ministry of
Health, Vietnam. She has extensive international consultative experience, providing
technical advice for Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) national programs, hospital
assessments and development of national guidelines to Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos,
Mongolia, Georgia and Brunei.
Sharon is currently a trainer and facilitator for the World Health Organisation (WHO) - Global
Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN) and conducted three outbreak response
missions in Liberia providing IPC technical assistance for the West Africa Ebola Outbreak.
