Course Description The course will examine the processes and structural organization of the living world and the interactions that take place. This course will be taught through a variety of concrete methods including, but not limited to; research papers, laboratory activities, reading, and other methods. There is an AP exam at the end of this course which may provide students with college credit in Environmental Science. This course will utilize Chromebooks extensively. Students will check out a textbook from the library. Information will be from various digital textbooks, classroom notes, podcasts, diagrams, videos, and internet sources. Lab Dues Due to the extensive hands-on and take home activities utilized in Environmental Science, each student must provide a $5.00 lab due. Lab dues must be paid by Friday to the student’s teacher. Make checks payable to Yukon High School. Students who have difficulty in paying the lab due should speak to their teacher as soon as possible. Any parent or student wishing to assist students who may be in financial need may make an additional donation. Students will have materials ready and in assigned seats when class begins. 3. Students should know when it is time to listen, to talk, or to work. Listen to the instructions the 1st time. 4. Students should work only on APES assignments in class unless given permission to do other work. DON’T LOSE THEM 5. Students will keep the classroom clean and will treat property and people in a respectful manner. 6. Students will participate in a positive way; no sleeping, writing notes, applying make-up, etc. 7.
