Introduction
 Welcome to the exciting world of Ancient Civilizations Realty. Here at ACR,
we are dedicated to helping our clients find their new home in one of the
one of the lovely locations we specialize in: Egypt, Mesopotamia, or the
Indus River Valley
 As a new travel agent, you will be responsible for choosing a civilization of
interest to you and creating our new brochure to SELL SELL SELL the
location.
Task
 You will travel through time to the three major ancient civilizations: Egypt,
Mesopotamia, and the Indus River Valley exploring the similarities and
differences of these three locations.
 As you travel through these civilizations, take note of important factors such
as religion, agriculture, social class, writing systems, art, specialized jobs,
government systems, and/or public works.
Process
 You will take time to explore all three of the ancient civilizations.
 After looking through the characteristics of each civilization, you will choose
one civilization to focus on.
 Using the resources in this PowerPoint, you will create a real estate brochure
that highlights all the key features of your chosen civilization.
Egypt
 Although Egypt exists today as a
country, Ancient Egypt refers to
the time period of 3100- 332 B.C.E.
 Ancient Egypt is well know to
have had a rich culture that
included religion, art, science,
mathematics, and architecture.

Mesopotamia
 Mesopotamia means “the land
between the rivers.” The two
rivers the name refers to are the
Tigris and Euphrates.
 The people of Mesopotamia
made advances in language,
writing, mathematics, astronomy,
medicine, and technology.

Indus River Valley
 The Indus River Valley existed from
3300-1100 B.C.E in the area that is
now includes Afghanistan,
Pakistan and Northern parts of
India.
 Also know as the Harappan
Civilization, it is notable for its
extensive building and crafting.
