The Procedure
• Blood (40-60cc) is withdrawn from the arm
using a butterfly needle and syringe. It is
then added to saline and passed by the
UV light as it is
reinfused back to the
patient.

American Cancer Society
regarding UBI
“ Ultraviolet blood irradiation treatment is approved
by the US Food and Drug Administration for treating
T-cell lymphoma involving the skin. Clinical trials look
promising for the treatment of immune system
diseases such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid
arthritis, lupus, rejection of transplanted organs and
graft verses host disease..)

Accepted medicine
• Extracorporeal photochemotherapy
(ECP) is a medical procedure
effective in the treatment of several
different T-cell mediated diseases
such as cutaneous T-cell
lymphoma and Graft-versus-Host
Disease.
• During ECP treatment the patient's blood is processed by means of a cell
separator to collect leukocytes (leukapheresis), mostly lymphocytes and
monocytes, which are then incubated with the photoactive drug 8methoxypsoralen (8-MOP), exposed to ultraviolet-A light (UV-A) and reinfused to
the patient. It has been suggested that during ECP not only UV-A irradiation but
also changes in the environmental condition may be relevant. Although ECP has
been shown to have an in-vivo immunomodulatory effect, the mechanisms
through which ECP exerts its effect remain elusive.

Cascade of Healing
• From an expert on this comes: “At the same time
the leading role has membrane modification
activity of UV radiation on erythrocytes,
leukocytes and thrombocytes, which determines,
on the one hand, changes in functional state
and properties of these cells, and on the other elimination from and entering in the blood
circulatory channel different biologically active
substances and components of the cell surface”

Immune boosting
• UBI stimulates the activity of white
blood cells raising the anti-disease
ability of body.
In double ways
• 1) direct bactericidal effect due to
activity of the immune answer
• 2) In changes of functional trends of all
parts of immuno-defence.

Why does Ozone expert, trainer and author
Dr. Frank Shallenberger use UBI with his
ozone/blood therapy?
She was a mess.
• Tachycardia – 140 beats a minute
• 33 breaths per minute
• Fever 103 degrees F
• O2 saturation was at 86.
“It was just ridiculous.”
Powerpoint Templates
Page 22
• . I gave her one 60cc treatment - and
she had a total turn around within 24
hours….Everything got better.
• It was absolutely remarkable. The UBI
cured her in just 3 days, UBI does
something different…. it definitely
does something very good and very
different than ozone.
Every since then I see using the two of
them together. Together they multiply
the benefits of healing in my patients.

Riordan Clinic
• In March, a 70-year-old man came to the Clinic
with a chronic, and at times life-threatening,
condition that kept a dangerous bacteria
lingering in his system. When active, the
bacteria caused severe inflammation and
swelling, fevers, and skin lesions. At its worst,
the offender crept into his bloodstream, causing
a life-threatening condition known as sepsis. He
had battled this unknown bacterial assailant for
more than 9 years before it was identified in
September 2011 as Burkholderiapseudomallei
(also known as
Pseudomonas
pseudomallei).

• Within four months, the gentleman was back in the
hospital for a five-day stay being infused with IV
antibiotics.
• After the second UBI treatment, the patient regained
the ability to breathe through his right sinus passage,
something he had not been able to do in almost 50
years, and following the fourth treatment, his vision
became noticeably sharper.

Auto Immune’s positive
response
• UBI reduces excess amounts of
various white blood cells.
• Lupus, MS, Allergy, Asthma, Rash,
systemic Poison Ivy, Rhematoid
Arthritis…
• In autoimmune disorders it appears that the
metabolically active T-cells and other immune
cells absorb much greater numbers of
biophotons than ordinary body cells, and this
destroys them, thus slowing down or stopping

Is saline & ozone
dangerous?
According to experts, ozone bubbled
through saline produces no NaCl
products. It does not react with the saline
except to trap ozone….short ½ life though
Ozone + blood = instant reactive bonding
Ozone + blood in NaCl – no reaction
Ozone + Saline – no reaction

but everyone responded, everyone

“The Ozone Paradox: Ozone Is a Strong Oxidant as
Well as a Medical Drug” Dr Bocci’s 2009 paper
•Oxygenation is not the main value of Ozone therapy
“Oxygen physically diffuses into erythrocytes and fully
saturates hemoglobin (Hb4O8) but in spite of the
pO2 as high as 450mmHg, the therapeutic value
of oxygenation is irrelevant .”
1) it is such a small amount 2) ozone dissolves more
readily in plasma water than oxygen, and instantaneously reacts with hydrosoluble antioxidants and
with readily available
PUFA
bound to albumin.”

“The Ozone Paradox: Ozone Is a Strong Oxidant as
Well as a Medical Drug” Dr Bocci’s 2009 paper
•Ozone does not kill bacteria and
virus in vivo
“Although ozone is one of the most potent
disinfectants, it has been shown that ozone cannot
inactivate bacteria, viruses, and fungi in vivo
because, paradoxically, the pathogens are well
protected, particularly inside the cells, by the
powerful antioxidant system.
Thus, the favorable effect of ozone therapy in some infectious
diseases has been interpreted as due to ozone acting as a
mild enhancer of the immune system, by activating
neutrophils and stimulating the synthesis of some

cytokines”.
