Rocks & Minerals
Eastside Invitational
January 28, 2017
Directions: You will be given 3 minutes at each station (14 stations in total) with a
running clock. After 3 minutes I will say, “rotate,” and you are to proceed on to the
next station. When formal time is up (42 minutes), you will have 2 additional
minutes with closed containers, to review your answers.
You may NOT return to a station, but you may change or add information to your
original responses while at other stations. Your documents must be turned within the
additional 2 minute time period (time is not a tiebreaker).
Only the answers written on the answer document will be scored. You sure you write
neat enough…if I can’t read it, it marked incorrect.
Any damaging or tampering of specimens/equipment will result in a disqualification.
Materials: Each team may bring one magnifying glass and one 3-ring binder (of any
size) containing pages of information in any form, from any source.
