IN THE HEIGHTS tells the universal story of a vibrant community in New York’s Washington Heights neighborhood –
a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open and the breeze
carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It’s a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and
pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you
leave behind. IN THE HEIGHTS is the winner of the 2008 Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, Best
Choreography and Best Orchestrations.

Set in a northern English mining town, against the background of the 1984 miners' strike, Billy Elliot is the
inspirational story of a young boy's struggle against the odds to make his dream come true. Follow Billy's journey as

Get your deerstalker cap on—the play’s afoot! Comedic genius Ken Ludwig (Lend Me a Tenor, Moon Over Buffalo)
transforms Arthur Conan Doyle’s classic The Hound of the Baskervilles into a murderously funny adventure. Sherlock
Holmes is on the case. The male heirs of the Baskerville line are being dispatched one by one. To find their ingenious
killer, Holmes and Watson must brave the desolate moors before a family curse dooms its newest heir. Watch as our
intrepid investigators try to escape a dizzying web of clues, silly accents, disguises, and deceit as five actors deftly
portray more than 40 characters. Does a wild hellhound prowl the moors of Devonshire? Can our heroes discover
the truth in time? Join the fun and see how far from elementary the truth can be.

Loaded with big laughs, colorful characters, and the songs that made the 20s roar, Bullets Over Broadway The
Musical is bringing musical comedy back with a bang. Based on the screenplay of the acclaimed 1994 film by
Woody Allen and Douglas McGrath, this six-time Tony-nominated musical features existing hits from the 1920s,
including "Let's Misbehave," "Tain't Nobody's Biz-ness If I Do" and "There's a New Day Comin'!"
David Shayne is a straight-arrow playwright who plans to stand firm against compromising his work, but quickly
abandons that stance when his producer finds a backer to mount his show on Broadway. There's just one catch,
however: the backer is a mobster who sees Shayne's play as a vehicle for his dizzy, talent-free girlfriend. Throw in an
aging diva, a savant hit-man and a bevy of beautiful chorus girls and this is one Broadway show that is sure to knock
em dead. Bullets Over Broadway is a love letter to the golden age of Broadway, filled with unforgettable songs that
audiences remember and love.

Musical” includes 40 beloved hits that take you on a journey through the look, the sounds and the feel of the times.

August 2016- June 2017 (year round rehearsals and service)
Phoenix Theatre’s Partners That Heal is a program in which artists use theatre activities such as: role-playing,
improvisation, puppets and many more to help ease tension and fears that an individual and or family experiences
while receiving hospital care. The artists of Partners That Heal establish a safe space in which both children and
adults are encouraged to laugh while creating a sense of comfort, allowing the patient to feel open in expressing
how they are feeling. Partners That Heal improves the quality of life for children, adults and families in long-term care
by alleviating fear and providing normalcy through entertainment and consistent visitation. INFO

Our vision is to illuminate, illustrate and foster the hero that lies within each of us. Qualities like compassion,
kindness, integrity and honesty are some of the heroic building blocks that, when nurtured and expressed, can
empower children to change any circumstance for the better. We focus on these innate qualities and demonstrate
their effect through our programming. Whether between peers, within a community or a culture, every child has the
ability to change the world. With every performance, we are reminding them that THEY CAN.
Special Projects (year round)
