Assessment of Significance
Grade 2 listed 2 storey coursed stone rubble fill built farmhouse. Stone dovecote, stables and barn.
Listing no. 1117044. Location map and house plan supplied with application. Wychavon council
consulted and advised listed building consent required.
No particular historic links. Original cottage extended in late 18thC to create L shaped plan
farmhouse. Cottage rubble filled stone walls, extension coursed stone walls and sash windows.
South elevation roof slate, other elevations clay tiles.
The architecturel of the building is typical Cotswold farm building with stone built fireplace and some
exposed beams. It is sited in a conservation area with buildings of similar age, design and
construction. There are no archeological features to the site.
Impact – Listed building. -The proposed change is to create a doorway from a bedroom into an
ensuite bathroom and to block off an existing doorway from bathroom to landing. The change has
no external impact on the site or the building and minimal impact on the structure of the building.
Impact – Conservation Area – As proposed works are internal there is no impact on the conservation
area.
