Main Research interests
Diagnostic imaging - Computed Radiology (CR) Computed Tomography (CT) Magnetic
Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Nuclear Medicine (NM) - in small and large animal spontaneous
diseases; evaluation of skeletal ages of animals by means of diagnostic imaging; fluoroscopy for
vascular application in animal models; CT scanning protocol and evaluation of densitometric
patterns pre and post administration of i.v. contrast medium in the diagnosis of feline injection-site
sarcoma (FISS); detecting of sentinel node in FISS by mean of nuclear medicine (scintigraphy);
necro-radiology and virtopsy in animals: diagnostic imaging in detecting rifle lead bullets in
domestic and non domestic animals; application of different radiological techniques in detecting
bone lesions in animal models; diagnostic imaging and sectional anatomy in small and large
animals and application of CT for rapid prototyping animal models in teaching anatomy.
