+ John Bradley, M.D.

Dr. John Bradley is the Director of the Division of Infectious
Diseases at Rady Children’s Hospital at UCSD. His clinical
interests include bacterial resistance to antibiotics, research in new
antibiotics/antivirals, meningitis, meningococcemia and hepatitis
C virus. His research focuses on the clinical aspects of infectious
diseases. He has recently been selected to participate as a
reviewer on the Special Emphasis Panel of the National Institute
of Allergy and Infectious Disease (NIAID) and National Institutes
of Health (NIH) to review contract proposals for grants that were
submitted for Targeted Clinical Trials to Reduce the Risk of
Antimicrobial Resistance.
* Michael S. Caplan, M.D.

Dr. Michael Caplan is Professor and Chairman of the Department
of Pediatrics at North Shore University Health System. Dr.
Caplan’s research interests are to understand the pathophysiology
of neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis, and to design specific
strategies to prevent the disease. Dr. Caplan is a reviewer for
several well known journals, such as Journal of Pediatrics,
Pediatrics, Pediatrics Research, etc.
# Terence S. Dermody, M.D.

Dr. Terence Dermody is Director of the Lamb Center for Pediatric
Research, Vanderbilt Medical Scientist Training Program, and the
Division of Infectious Diseases at Vanderbilt University Medical
Center. He is also Professor of Pathology, Microbiology and
Immunology at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Dermody’s research
specialties are viral infections of the central nervous system, entry
of viruses into host cells, and development of new vaccine vectors.
Dr. Dermody also holds the Dorothy Overall Wells Chair at
Vanderbilt.
* Christopher L. Karp, M.D.

Dr. Christopher Karp is Director of the Division of Molecular
Immunology and Cystic Fibrosis Research Center at Cincinnati
Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He is also Professor of
Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Karp’s research
focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying
regulation and dysregulation of inflammatory responses in human
infectious, autoimmune and genetic diseases. Dr. Karp also holds
the Gunnar Esiason/Cincinnati Bell Chair of Life Sciences at
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
