Evolution Lab Expectations:
You will be working in groups of 2 to complete these activities. One set of answers can be turned in for both students – make sure
both names are on the material that you turn in. You will have the majority of 5 full days to complete these activities. The
assignments are due 3/31/13 at the start of class.

Getting Started (pages S43 to S44) answer #1, #2a, and #2b.
The Evolution of Flight – on-line activities found at the following link:
After each on-line activity, complete the corresponding review activity. There are five review activities. Complete Post-Test
upon completion of the 5 activities.
Procedure w/ Blast (pages S44 to S48). Be sure to document a hypothesis (step 1 on page S45)
Analyzing Data – for each of the 3 genes that you analyze in blast, document your thoughts for the 3 bullets found on page
S48. Then answer 1 to 4 and follow the directions given at the bottom of the page.
Evaluating Results – (page S49) you should address the questions posed in the 3 paragraphs of this section. You should
have at least one response to each paragraph.
