commensalism – relationship where one organism
benefits and the other is neither helped nor harmed
competition – relationship where two species are
trying to get the same requirement like food or space
host – in a parasitic relationship, the host is the
organism that “houses” and is harmed by the parasite
mutualism – relationship where both organisms
benefit
parasite – the organism that lives in a host and gets
nourishment from the host at the detriment to the host
parasitism – relationship where one organisms
benefits and the other is harmed
predation – relationship where one organism is killed
for food
predator – the consumer that eats the prey
prey – the organism that is eaten in predation
