Personal Statement Dr. Brandon Brown is an epidemiologist who focuses on infectious diseases in developing countries. He has over 7 years of research experience working in Peru, and with ongoing studies of cancer screening, human papillomavirus (HPV), STIs, and HIV in vulnerable populations, including female sex workers (FSWs) and men who have sex with men (MSM). He is currently the Research Director at Epicentro, and has projects with other Peru based organizations, including the University of Cayetano and Via Libre. Brandon is the Undergraduate Director of the Program in Public Health at UC Irvine, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in global health, ethics, and research. B.
