Course Description: This course introduces the study of likely events and the analysis, interpretation, and presentation of quantitative data. Course topics generally include basic probability and statistics: discrete probability theory, odds and probabilities, probability trees, populations and samples, frequency tables, measures of central tendency, and presentation of data (including graphs). Course topics may also include normal distribution and measures of variability. What graduation requirement does this meet: Math Length: 1 Semester Credit: 0.5 Prerequisites: Credit for Algebra I Course Policies and Student Expectations: This course will follow all school policies found in the TASD 9-12 Student Handbook. All students will submit course work when it is due unless other arrangements have been made with the instructor. If an assignment is not turned in or does not meet the mastery level set by the teacher, students will be placed on the Titan Hour list in order to complete the assignment at a mastery level. Chromebooks should come charged and should be used in the manner stated in the TASD 9-12 Student Handbook.
