How long do you think our digestive system is? 9 Meters Facts. 1.Mouth the first part of the digestive system, where food enters the body. 2.Oesophagus the long tube between the mouth and stomach. the 3.Liver a large organ which makes bile that neutralises stomach acid 4.stomach a sack like, muscular organ that is attached to the oesophagus. When food enters the stomach, it is churned with lots of acid. 5.Small intestine the long , thin winding tube that food goes through after it leaves the stomach. 6.Large intestine the shorter wider tube that follows the small intestine. Facts continue. • 7. Rectum the lower part of the large intestine, where faeces (POO) is stored before it leaves the body. 8. Anus the opening at the end of the digestive system from which faeces (POO) that leaves the body The tube is your oesophagus where your food travels down.
