Label your work with the assignment title, attach your work to this cover sheet and hand it in. Due dates and quiz dates are listed below. Write your words once in print and once in cursive (if you know how). Draw and color a picture that contains words from the list. Then label the picture with the words you used. Try and use at least 10. Look at your word list. How can you sort them (syllables, vowel sounds, blends, etc…)? Create a chart that sorts your words. Your chart must have at least 2 sections and must be labeled with how you are sorting them. Dinner Options Complete a practice test with another person at home. Have them ask you all the words and write them like a test. Make corrections after if needed using a colored pencil. Type your words 4 times each. Use different fonts each time. Print and attach to your coversheet. Write each word once with your right hand and once with your left hand. Look at your words. Arrange the letters of each word in alphabetical order. This can be tricky! Get a dictionary and write the definitions of 10 words. Go to www.wordle.net and create a Wordle using all your spelling words. Print it out and attach it to this cover sheet. Dessert Options Write a paragraph using at least 10 words. Underline the words you use. Your paragraph must have at least 5 sentences. Go to the Live Binder for this lesson on Mrs. Zuniga's website and complete the spelling city activities for these words. There is nothing to hand in for this so I'm trusting you to be honest. Synonyms and Antonyms: Pick at least 10 words and write a synonym or antonym for each. Label with an “s” or an “a” so we see you know the difference. Parts of Speech: Using a dictionary, write each word and label what part of speech it is (noun, verb, adjective, etc.) Parent Initials: Reading: As part of your homework, you should be reading every day for at least 20-30 minutes. It can be in the morning before school, when you get home, or before bed. You can figure out the best time that works for you. Please list what you read below. Date: Monday What you read: How long did you read it? Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Vocabulary: Please make sure you are reviewing the attached vocabulary words over the next two weeks.
