MES Mampad College is an Autonomous NAAC accredited Institution which was established in 1964. In its fifty
years of service to the public, the College has helped reshape the cultural contours of a region which once
remained aloof from educational progress. The sprawling MES Mampad College campus of today hence has
shaped the lives of generations while it steadily grew to its current stature of the leading educational service
provider. The institution has taken the lead not just in addressing the educational deficit of the communities of
the region; it has also massively contributed to the cultural ethos. The conferring of the autonomous status in
2015 was an acknowledgement of the said leadership stature of the institution too.
As part of the efforts to take the academic endeavors and reach of the institution to the next level, we are
launching annual internal conference from the academic year 2016-17. MESMAC International Conferences
are marked to be events of global quality where the leading thinkers, writers, scientists, statesmen and
community leaders come together to interact with, empower and lead the young generations. This opening
Conference of the series to be held in February 2017 will anchor on the theme, 'Existence & Expression:
Science, Philosophy and Art'.
'Existence' and 'expression' have always symbiotically negotiated our cultural space. As the modes of and
definition of one has (been) changed, the other has followed suit. This cohabitation, though, has never been
totally unproblematic. The mutual tension of these arms has both enriched and emasculated each other. The
broad focus the Conference theme envisions is meant to assure the panoramic sweep of the networks it
engulfs and pathways it promotes.
Research papers are invited from the public for the Conference. Please visit our website for further information

disciplines and connect to the core themes at any level. Inter-disciplinarity is promoted. The scientific
disciplines can be linked to the Conference theme cutting through the traditional thematic clutters.
