Student can apply science and business principles to analyze and interpret data, using appropriate analytic techniques. Student can creatively consider multiple solution alternatives and blend more than one solution for the given business problem. Identify opportunities for students to learn this outcome during the academic program: For example, include a curriculum map that lists the courses or other learning experiences in which the student learning outcome is taught. Another example is a written narrative that describes how the learning outcome is integrated into the program. MKTG5983 and/or MKTG5963 How will students be selected to participate in the assessment of this outcome? Students enrolled in MKTG5983 and/or MKTG5963 will participate in this assessment. Assessment Methods Identify the method(s) used to assess this learning outcome. Check all that apply. ☐Survey ☐Satisfaction Survey ☐Internship ☐Rating of skills (e.g., rubrics) ☐Benchmarking ☐Interviews ☐Analysis of written artifacts ☐Measuring effectiveness relative to professional standards ☐Performance or jury ☐Comprehensive, certification, or professional exam(s) ☐Oral presentation ☐Course project ☐Review of thesis/dissertation/ creative component ☐Capstone project ☐Visual collection (photos, videos, etc.) ☐Review of student research ☒Other (please specify): Pre-designated exam questions Describe the how the assessment method will be implemented, administered, and/or conducted. Instructors in MKTG5983 and/or MKTG5963 will choose (pre-designate) 10 questions each from their course that assess students’ understanding of critical and creative thinking and how these impact analytic solutions. These questions will be from specific assignments and/or exams and will have pre-designated points associated with them. The questions may be objective multiplechoice questions or in a problem solving format. The total weightage of these questions will be 100. This test will be administered each year to students in MKTG5983 and/or MKTG5963, at all OSU locations (Stillwater, Tulsa, and Distance) Does your department/program faculty have a goal set for this learning outcome? ☒Yes ☐No For example, “80% of students included in the assessment will receive a 4 on the rubric” or “80% of students included in the assessment will achieve a passing score on the certification exam.” If yes, please describe the goal below. At least 70% of students will be able to score 80% or higher on this assignments. Timeline for Planned Assessment Indicate the timeline for the assessment of this learning outcome. While outcomes assessment must be conducted every year, not all student learning outcomes for a given program must be assessed every year. If the assessment of a particular learning outcome occurs on cycle or rotation, please describe and provide the rationale for the cycle/rotation below. ☐Each Semester ☒Yearly ☐Every other year ☐Other (please specify): If the assessment of Learning Outcome 1 occurs on a cycle or rotation, click here to describe and provide the rationale. 2 C2) Student Learning Outcome #2: Professional Communication: Student demonstrates effective written communication skills via a report that: provides evidence of clear and concise writing; uses good grammar, spelling and punctuation; and provides appropriate citations. Identify opportunities for students to learn this outcome during the academic program: For example, include a curriculum map that lists the courses or other learning experiences in which the student learning outcome is taught. Another example is a written narrative that describes how the learning outcome is integrated into the program. MKTG5883 and/or MKTG6413 How will students be selected to participate in the assessment of this outcome? Students enrolled in MKTG5883 and/or MKTG6413 will participate in this assessment.
