Acrodisc® WBC (White Blood Cell)
Syringe Filter
High Efficiency Leukocyte Capture and Recovery
The Acrodisc WBC premium syringe filter is ideal for use in the capture and recovery
of leukocytes and the separation of red blood cells. Acrodisc WBC provides a
simple and efficient method to isolate blood cells used in a variety of research
applications including:
Antigen specificity and modulation studies
Immune receptor analysis
Receptor protein studies
Genotyping
Gene expression
Cell therapy
Reduced Sample Volume
and Processing Time
Ordering Information
Pall Life Sciences’ Acrodisc Premium Syringe Filter (PSF) is a
proven sample prep device for the laboratory. The white blood
cell (WBC) isolation syringe filter contains Pall’s patented
Leukosorb® media, a fibrous matrix designed for use in procedures
requiring the capture and recovery of leukocytes or the separation
of erythrocytes (red blood cells) and platelets from whole
blood samples.

Ease of Use
SSC-H: Side Scatter
The Acrodisc PSF WBC contains Pall’s effective filtration area
(EFA) that allows for faster filtration and separation of the sample,
resulting in very low hold up volumes. The combination of the
EFA in conjunction with the capacity of the Leukosorb media to
efficiently separate blood cells results in higher cell recoveries
from smaller sample volumes.
Performance
SSC-H: Side Scatter
The filter removes >90% of the leukocytes from whole blood
samples allowing collection of a greater population of enriched
red blood cells (RBCs) from the sample. The RBCs can be used
in a variety of cellular and antigenic analyses. The removed
leukocytes are efficiently captured and recovered for use in
further analysis in various immune or gene expression studies.

Results in very low hold up volume compared to larger white
blood cell isolation filters (Hold up Volume < 2 mL, with total
sample volume = 12 mL)
