Violinist Anna Marie Williams continues to win over the hearts of audiences and critics alike, with her -onsoloist and chamber musician. Her playing has been described as "truly amazing", and as having "sent a tingling sensation up my spine" by Fanfare Magazine. Her performances have been praised as a talented by the Boston Globe and have been cited as among the Best Classical Music Performances by the Boston Musical Intelligencer, Ms. Williams has performed as featured soloist and recitalist in some of the finest concert halls across North and South America, the UK and Europe. Recent solo engagements include appearances at New Jordan Hall, The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, The Boston Opera House, Hall, and "Laguna Beach Live!", Black Heath Halls (UK) and Samoilov Museum (Russia). Recent solo engagements with orchestra include concerts with the Fall River Symphony, California Chamber Orchestra, Rhode Island Youth Philharmonic, the San Diego State University Symphony Orchestra, the Antigua Symphony Orchestra (Guatemala) and the New England String Ensemble, and will include upcoming performances with the Brown University Symphony Orchestra, among others. Ms. Williams has also had the privilege of both premiering and recording solo works written expressly for her, including She Moves With The Music: A Violin Concerto by Panamanian composer, Jorge Bennett as well as Fields of Gold for Violin and Piano by American composer, Lisa Heffter. A first-place winner of the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Prize, Ms. Williams is a founding member of the critically acclaimed Neave Trio. both their -maki as well as the Neave Trio enjoys concert and recording success across the United States and abroad, performing on some of the finest chamber music series. Recent notable appearances include performances at the 92nd Street Y, the Rockport Chamber Music Festival, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center/La Jolla, Music at Kohl Mansion, Syracuse Friends of Chamber Music, the Kalliroscope Gallery Chamber Music Series, and the Chamber Music Society of Utica. Recent live radio broadcasts include those on WGBH, WQXR, and WCNY radio stations, as well as other stations across the country. -produced recording, Earth and Sky was met with critical acclaim, picked as Magazine. The Neave Trio will release their first album for the renowned Chandos Label in November of 2016. Also in the 2016/2017 season, the Neave Trio will record new arrangements of works by Astor Piazzolla for the Grammy-Winning Azica Record Label as well as recording Klee Musings for Piano Trio, a new work by celebrated American composer, Augusta Read Thomas. Additionally, The Neave Trio will produce a boundary-crossing music video, featuring the music of Astor Piazzolla, in collaboration with Blythe Barton Dance Company and celebrated filmmaker, Bridget Palardy. The Neave Trio has enjoyed numerous residency opportunities, including residencies at the Banff Centre, (Canada), the Walnut Hill School for the Performing Arts, the Chamber Music Connection, the Gann Academy, Concord Academy, Providence College, among others. The Neave Trio was the first ever Fisch/Axelrod Trio In Residence at San Diego State University and will continue as both Trio In Residence and Visiting Artists In Residence at the ArtsAhimsa Music Festival and Brown University, respectively. Constantly striving to engage both audiences and musicians of tomorrow in new and innovative ways, that celebrates music being written today, Ms. Williams serves as Artistic Director for both the STEIN2.0 Series and Music Side By Side Festival. STEIN2.0 is a salon style, multimedia/interactive concert series, which sets itself apart by championing new works by living composers while integrating cutting-edge technology to fully engage audiences of today. Music Side By Side, an annual, weeklong, chamber music seminar, seeks to bring musicians of all ages and levels of ability together for a week of side-byside chamber music study and performance. Ms. Williams is a passionate teacher, having served as Teaching Assistant to the world-renowned pedagogue, Patinka Kopec at the Manhattan School of Music (Pre-College). She has also served on the faculties of the Longy School of Music of Bard College, Wellesley College, San Diego State University and The Castleman Quartet Program. In addition, Ms. Williams has taught at the Gillispie School, the Villa Musica Community Music School, the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest, the Needham High School, the Gateway School, Belvoir Terrace, the St. Marks International Chamber Music Institute and Festival, as well as the LyricaFest, and ArtsAhimsa festivals. The recipient of the Joseph Fisch/Joyce Axelrod Award, Ms. Williams holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music (BM), the Longy School of Music of Bard College (MM, GPD, Chamber Music Ambassador) and San Diego State University (Artist Diploma). Ms. Williams is a graduate of the Walnut Hill School/New England Conservatory joint program. Festival appearances have included Yellow Barn, National Arts Centre (under director, Pinchas Zukerman), the Banff International Centre (Canada), Bowdoin International Chamber Music Festival, and Niagara on the Lake, among others.
