MASTERING THE CONTENT OF: ANATOMY, PHYSIOLOGY, BIOMECHANICS, EXERCISE THERAPY (KINESITHERAPY), THERAPEUTIC MASSAGE. 3. OBJECTIVES, LEARNING OUTCOMES, CURRICULUM AND TEACHING METHODS 3.1. Objectives of the course C1 Knowledge of theoretical, methodological and practical basis of manual therapy. C2 Mastering the techniques of perform basic treatments of manual therapy of peripheral joints. C3 Achieving skills to perform basic manual techniques and functional tests in the field of manual therapy in people with diseases and dysfunctions of extremities - according to their clinical condition and functional. C4 Understanding personal skills and their own restrictions in performing of different techniques of manual therapy. 3.2 LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE SUBJECT/MODULE EK (learning outcome) The content of learning outcome EK_01 Know and understand the biomechanical analysis of posture, and K1P_W18 (+) movement in peripheral joints. EK_02 Know the theoretical, methodological and practical basis for the use of manual therapy in physiotherapy. Presentation topics of lectures and literature required for the subjects. The history of manual medicine. Terminology and definitions: manual medicine, osteopathy, chirotherapy, manual therapy. Training in manual medicine in Poland, Europe and in the World. Basics of the Neuro-Orthopaedic Manual Therapy and its place in physiotherapy. Basic concepts of manual therapy. Methods of diagnosis and manual therapy of interphalangeal joints (DIP, PIP), metacarpophalangeal (MCP), radio-carpal joint. The principles of diagnosis and manual therapy of joints: radio-ulnar proximal and distal, humero-ulnar and humero-radial. The principles of diagnosis and manual therapy of joints of the shoulder girdle. Screening test for the cervical spine. The principles of diagnosis and manual therapy of the foot joints: talo-crural, talo-calcaneo-navicular, and metatarsal. The principles of diagnosis and manual therapy of the knee. The principles of diagnosis and manual therapy of the hip. Screening test lumbar-sacral spine. B. Seminar Contents Organizational issues. Clinical reasoning, diagnosis and manual treatment according to the principles of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in the process of comprehensive physiotherapy. Functional examination and analysis of the differential testing in manual therapy. Diagnostics techniques and manual therapy of wrist joint. Diagnostics and manual therapy techniques of interphalangeal joints (DIP, PIP), metacarpophalangeal (MCP). Diagnostics and manual therapy techniques of radioulnar joints, proximal and distal. Diagnostics and manual therapy techniques of humeroulnar and humeroradial joints. Diagnostics and manual therapy techniques of glenohumeral joint. Diagnostics and manual therapy techniques of clavicle joints and scapula. Differential testing of symptoms and pain in upper limb / spine. Examination of superficial sensation, muscle strength indicator in the upper limb. Postisometric relaxation techniques of muscle groups of the upper limb. sEMG studies in assessing the effects of manual therapy of the upper limb. Diagnostics and manual therapy techniques of the foot joints: talo-crural, talocalcaneo-navicular. Diagnostics and manual therapy techniques metatarsal joints. Diagnostics and techniques of manual therapy of the knee. Diagnostics and manual therapy techniques of the hip. Differential testing of symptoms and pain in lower limb / spine. Examination of superficial sensation, muscle strength indicator in the lower limb. Postisometric relaxation techniques of muscle groups in lower limb. sEMG studies in assessing the effects of manual therapy of lower limb. 3.4 EDUCATIONAL METHODS LECTURES: INFORMATION AND PROBLEM MULTIMEDIA PRESENTATION. LABORATORIES: PRACTICAL MANUAL TECHNIQUES, WORKING IN PAIRS (SIMULATED PATIENT / THERAPIST), GROUP WORK, CASE METHOD, PROBLEM METHOD, DISCUSSIONS. STUDENT'S OWN WORK: WORK WITH A BOOK, WORKING IN PAIRS. 4 METHODS AND CRITERIA OF EVALUATION 4.1 Methods of verification of learning outcomes.
