JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Marketing Communications Coordinator Department / Business Stream: International Network / Cambridge International Examinations Location: 72 Hills Road Reports to (job title): Head of Marketing Communications JOB PURPOSE The Communications Planning Coordinator is responsible for marketing communications planning and delivery. The purpose of the post is about the management of workflow management, logistics, stock management, budget planning and communicating these areas to internal staff. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Manage logistics functions via DC10– including stock management, logistics of the Welcome Packs, corporate gifts, and despatch for generic and bespoke direct mail. Coordinate budget reporting and monitoring across the department, in agreement with Head of Marketing Communications. Develop and maintain systems and processes that enable the department to report, profile and forecast budgets regularly and accurately. As well as identifying procedures relating to finance which need clarifying and training the team. Establish, maintain and manage projects from agreed strategy to completion. Develop and manage workflow and tracking systems for the whole department. Monitor, report on and co-ordinate progress against communications schedule using an appropriate electronic system. Make sure deadlines are communicated and met. Manage the internal communications to keep staff informed of the latest materials Manage the logistics functions of Marketing Resources Manage publisher inserts in our publications and invoicing Support the Marketing Communications team as required such as annually reviewing and updating our ISO documents KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Knowledge Degree-level education (or equivalent) Skills Excellent planning skills in a marketing communications context Excellent skills in presenting complex data and information in a clear way High IT literacy Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs, particularly Excel. High standard of communication skills at all levels of the organisation (inc. assertiveness, negotiation, project chasing, peer management) Excellent budget management skills Excellent stock management skills Excellent skills in workflow management Excellent standard of numeracy and high degree of accuracy Excellent organisation skills Ability to be completely accurate with detail and know which details matter Ability to spot patterns in problems and issues Skilled in spotting marketing communications opportunities Excellent skills in peer management and achieving results without line management authority Collaborative Analytical and logical Flexible Well organised Persuasive Experience A thorough knowledge of Cambridge International Examinations international markets, services, operations and customers. An excellent understanding of all elements of the marketing mix Excellent understanding of business management and customer management databases and their uses in a marketing environment. Excellent understanding of the structure and complexities of Cambridge International Examinations customer data Excellent understanding of stock management and despatch systems
