ACTIVITY 2- FIFTH GRADE
THIRD TERM
Group
Date
Name:
Working with polygons
Polygon
A polygon is a plane shape (twodimensional) with straight sides. Examples
include
triangles,
quadrilaterals,
pentagons, hexagons and so on.
Regular
A "Regular Polygon" has:
all sides equal and
all angles equal.
Exterior Angle
The Exterior Angle is the angle between any side of a shape, and a line extended from the next side. All the Exterior Angles of a polygon add up
to 360°, so:
Each exterior angle must be 360°/n. n is the number of sides.
Example: What is the exterior angle of a regular octagon?
An octagon has 8 sides, so: Exterior angle = 360°/n = 360°/8 = 45°

1. Write a program for each polyogon, In all cases, Using the REPEAT command and changing the
values for Pen Color and Pen Size is mandatory. Save polygon files as bitmap with name Polygon
1, Polygon 2, and so on and other shapes with names Shape 1, Shape 2, etc. In all cases, movements
are done each 60 steps.

2. Insert the Logo commands (using REPEAT is mandatory) in order to draw the shapes; after that,
complete the required information: Configure values for pen size and pen color, save files as bit
map with names starting with shape 1, shape 2 and so on. Move the turtle 50 steps
