Students should also:
1. Know the major contributions of Aristotle, Ptolemy, Copernicus, Galileo,
Kepler and Newton to our knowledge of space.

Know which type of universe each person believed in (heliocentric
versus geocentric)
2. Know Kepler's three laws of planetary motion.
3. Know the 8 planets in our solar system in order from closest to furthest
from the Sun.
4. Identify the four inner planets and the four Jovian planets.

Know each groups characteristics.
5. Know how many constellations there are and how many we can see. Have an
understanding of why we are limited to only seeing a certain amount of
constellations.
6. Be able to identify the major constellations we discussed in class.
